Officially known as the Michigan Reiki Ryoho Kenkyuukai (靈氣 療法 研究会), this weekly study and practice group is for committed students of Reiki Ryoho who seek additional opportunities to learn, grow, share, and most importantly practice.

Usui’s Reiki method encourages students to both invite happiness as well as cultivate/maintain health; working with the heart/mind and body (Shin Shin Kaizen 心身改善). As such, during each session we will generally emphasize cultivation of the mind and cultivation of Reiki Ryoho technique.

Within the above framework, our focus will vary from week to week, with in-depth lecture and practice on one or more of the many aspects of the Usui Reiki system and/or related Japanese methods including:

  • Reiki Ryoho technique (hands-on practice)
  • Reiki Ryoho history (story telling and hard research)
  • Meditation with emphasis on mental discipline (正念)
  • Japanese spiritual traditions (Mikkyo)
  • East Asian medical traditions

and more…

These practice sessions are intended for serious students of Reiki Ryoho who earnestly aim to grow, develop their understanding, and harness their ability to heal themselves and feasibly help others with wisdom and compassion. Session are also only offered to Michigan Reiki Kenkyuukai members only at this time. Please note, these weekly sessions are no substitute for formal Reiki training. Such opportunities are offered separately in class.
