I eventually found my first park in Japan; the Shin-Edogawa Garden (新江戸川区公園). As you could probably imagine, the view was very peaceful, clean, & beautiful.
Rather than grasping, channeling, or otherwise manipulating energy, Reiki is a method that allows us to invite (招) happiness/ good fortune / many blessings (福). This happiness, these many blessings are also the medicine for many illnesses.
Reiki practice conveys a degree of respect and discipline - namely that of consent and honesty. Despite my utmost respect for the choices of others, the altruist in me is still greatly concerned with the the welfare of others. This resolve led me to do a bit of self-inquiry.
