Traditionally, Reiki Ryoho training is taught in person by a trained Reiki Shihan (Reiki Teacher). Michigan Reiki’s teaching curriculum follows the traditional three progressive levels of instruction, organized as such:

Shoden: First Degree Reiki Ryoho

A practitioner degree meant to establish and develop a strong and functional foundation in Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho (臼井 式 靈氣 療法). In this course, students are introduced to the substantial methods in Usui’s system of Reiki therapy.  This includes an overview of the system, basic principles, concepts, terminology, practice methods, and history.  Students are encouraged to establish a daily healing practice and embody Reiki throughout their everyday lives.

Full participation in all ten hours of this seminar are necessary to receive the full transmission of teachings.

Class sizes are intentionally small so spaces are limited.

Upcoming classes:

No classes scheduled at this time.

Okuden: Second Degree Reiki Ryoho

An advanced degree meant to solidify foundational concepts as well as introduce individuals to the insubstantial methods in Usui’s system of Reiki therapy. This course teaches specific esoteric practices to enhance the effectiveness of the substantial methods, heal the heart-mind (kokoro), and realize the essential healing nature inherent in all things. Committed Second degree practitioners are full and complete Reiki practitioners; no need for third degree if you only aim to practice. This course is only offered to students who have completed the first degree curriculum and continue to practice often.

Full participation in all ten hours of this seminar are necessary to receive the full transmission of teachings.

Shinpiden: Third Degree Reiki Ryoho

Commonly termed “Reiki Master Training” this course for committed life-long Reiki Ryoho practitioners who wish to maintain the lineage, teach the system, and credibly represent the deepest ideals of Reiki in everyday life. This degree is only offered to vetted candidates with good knowledge, character, and commitment to the system and the ideals (precepts) held therein.
