The Japanese Reiki clinic is a special monthly event for Reiki beginners, practitioners, and professionals looking to learn about and/or practice traditional Japanese Reiki. Each event is separated into three sessions, catering to different aspects and levels of Reiki practice.

We usually being the day with an “Introduction to Traditional Reiki“. During this time, we will introduce one another as well as have a brief overview of the system of Reiki; concepts, methods, and vernacular in order to get beginners acclimated to Reiki practice. Following this we have a short meditation period and Reiju ceremony for those interested.

The next session is focused on Therapeutic Reiki applications – Reiki Tenohira Teate. During the next hour, Reiki practitioners are encouraged to work with the hands-on healing practice within the system of Reiki. Beginners are encouraged to experience a session while seasoned practitioners are encouraged to practice self-treatment and/or practice facilitating Reiki sessions with a group. Directions for organization of practice will be given during this time.

Our last hour of the clinic focuses exclusively on inner developmental practices within the system of Reiki. This session is predominately catered toward practices for advanced practitioners and teachers. Each month we will begin with a specific Gokai (precept) focus for discussion and meditation, followed by either Jumon or Shirushi practice.

Reiki beginners, practitioners and professionals of all lineages are encouraged to join us in a welcoming communal environment for practice and growth on a continual basis. It is in this way that we may be able to embody the practice not just “do reiki” but “Be Reiki”.
